| I installed cisco airnet 340 card and software ....when done I have the green flashing light indicating correct instalation
however still cannot connect to internet ...
when i change cad to wep the green light becomes disabled .....I have a feeling this is the issue
please help | |

| 1) Are the driver and firmware version the same? Aironet are notoriously picky about them needing to match.
2) Is the AP actually allowing WEP? You could try setting the AP to no security very temporarily to see if it can connects and then troubleshoot from there
3) Do not use a WEP passphrase, use the WEP hex key. They sometimes use different algorithms | |

| I assume driver and firrmware are correct.... I downloaded from this website
When I run Cisco Link Status Cisco 340 is associated to F8:E4:FB:3C: 48:39 my router is MAC address is F8:E4:FB:3C: 48:38 last numbers are not the same
signal strenght 100% Beacons recieved 100 overall link quality excellent
still get message a connection with server could not be established

| Since you've set everything up, try a warm/soft reset and then open the browser and go to google and see if it brings up the website. | |

| It's probably the WEP. Install vxUtil and see if it's getting any addressing
Did you actually update the firmware? | |
