| Whew...I'm extremely new to Handheld PC's and was thinking about picking up a NEC MobilePro 790. I've been reading some views and apparently the sound isn't to great on it given the fact that it has mono sound! I don't really want to plunk down $350 or more just to get a HP Jornada 720 to get stereo sound. I was wondering if I could use a type II PCMCIA sound card (ex. Creative makes one for laptops) with Windows CE. Some people say that there is a sound card that you can use...but is that really true? | |

| The answer here is no you cannot. The only sound card that has any operational capabilities is when used with a legacy program to force MIDI codes to the particular card. This only works with one model of sound canvas, and doesn't allow wave form playback (wave, MP3 etc - regular sounds) | |
