Happy New Year!

I found a project many of you might find useful - it allows for browsing modern Internet using (very) old browsers. Enjoy!

Thanks for the post. I use this one:

http://theoldnet.com/

Works really well on old machines.

I have not tried it yet, but after instlling WRP binary, you first point to the IP address : port like http://192.168.1.10:8080 in HPC IE address bar.

Then you type the URL you want to browse in the other URL bar next to "Go" button.

(I think that's how it works)

Maybe I'll try it today.

Good news!

I got wrp working on my Macbook Air as a proxy server.
It seems like wrp uses Chrome to render / access websites.

Now, I accessed the modern web using Sigmarion 3 without any problems.

Steps:
1. Download wrp binary for your OS.
2. If you are going to use wrp on Mac like me, make sure you make the executable as executable (chmod 755).
3. run wrp binary.
4. Point your IE to 192.168.x.x:8080 (your wrp server's IP address + port 8080).
5. Use the URL bar inside the wrp app (left side of "Go" button)
6. Tap Go
7. When you want to input, use the input bar on the right side of "K".

Well done, stingraze! And thank you for posting the great pix.

To be clear, you're not running wrp on the Sig3, you're running wrp on your Mac and accessing its setup with the Sig? Sorry for my denseness, I haven't played at all with proxies, etc.

Thank you!

Yes, the Mac acts as a proxy to make webpages small (I think by making it GIF or PNG). Sigmarion 3 acts as a client to the proxy via browser (IE).
The proxy is like a web app you can access via a normal browser or H/PC browser (IE etc.) .
