NEC MP 770 HPC 2000 upgrade

Has anyone heard of getting the 790 rom and putting it in a 770? Reason why i ask is because i noticed the intermec 6651 runs a 129 mhz mips and the 770 in down in that range 2.....Steve

Even more intresting idea,


How about taking the rom out of a 6651/Teilos and putting it in a sharp mobilon pro PV-5000.......The units are so close, seems like the pv-5000 was the first try at the teilos, any ideas on that one?

The 770 will not accept the 790 rom chip physically. Different socketing methods.

the hardware might be very different for all you know..
