Just want to ask, since NE2000 driver already supported by Win CE 2.11 (Jornada 690) does it means any PCMCIA Ethernet card based on NE2000 driver will work?

I've found so many NE2000 based PCMCIA Ethernet card outside there, but not so many in the HCL. Please advise ...

in theory, yes.
the reason why they aren't in the hcl yet is that no one submitted them so far.. so if you find one that isn't there and you can confirm it works, submit it please

The theory is good. In practise though...
I have three different ne2000 10/100 adapters. I've tried them on 2.0, Pro and HPC2000. None of them work.
The 2.00 device actually hard resets!

I base this purely on an assumption... but I think you want to aim for a 10mbps ne2000 rather than a 10/100. That is all I can attribute my experiences to.

As cmonex says, if you have any successes -or- failures. Please do spend a few minutes submitting them on the HCL form.

uh-huh i tried only one and had success with it right away.. that's why i thought the theory is closer to practice...
mine is a 10/100 + modem combo.. and that's supposed to be even more problematic
