I know some people are asking to do the opposite, but I'd love to be able to somehow limit the res of my remote desktop client to 640x240 to remove the issue of scrolling around.. right now I'm sitting at 640x480 with scroll bars.

MP790 connecting to Windows XP SP2.

Any ideas?

I guess there's a minimum requirement for screen resolution on Windows XP. The system simply will not present a UI with a lower resolution than that.

You could try Nyditot... or get a 800x480 device

Oh really, do you need to make the burning urge for an 800x480 device even worse?

cmonex and I sat down and pull hair on this one.
It seems to be all down to a call in the mstsc.exe, rather than a setting on the device or the server.

If you substitute the hpc2000 one for the one in the downloads section. It will fill the screen with no scrolling in the tsc session.

Ah, yep.. looks like the CE2.11 RDP client limits it to your handheld's display size... So I just installed it on my storage card and run it when I want the limited res. Thanks, C:Amie!

Hi People,

I don't understand. C:Amie, are you trying to say that I can use RDP with no scroll bars, at all?

If thats the case, what do I need to do this with my J720?

The HPC 2k Update or the CE 2.11 one?

Sorry to be such an inconvenience .

The last post on this tread you sounded like you were annoyed about something, and that something sounded like me.

Hey cool stuff

Be careful with dialog boxes tho (like Control Panel stuff), as most of them won't show completely at the 240 height, so the OK buttons etc would be hidden...

yeah the dialog boxes are a pain sometimes.. using tab often solves the problem though.
