| I'm slightly puzzled by this; I've got just a generic 14.4 Megahertz modem card, but my 660LX doesn't want to recognize it. What I did for my Jornada 728 (which does have a modem built-in, but I wanted to test) running CE3 was when I get the driver prompt, I put in "unimodem.dll", and do a soft reset, then it recognizes it. When I do the same on the 660LX, I just get the unrecognized device prompt on startup again. Am I missing anything here?
(As for why I'm messing with modems: I have an ATA and I'm going to make them fax.)

| Can you confirm that said dll exists on the 660? | |

| It doesn't display in Windows Explorer for either device (even though it works on the Jornada); I thought it was built into ROM so it wouldn't display, but it's been a few years since I touched CE. | |

| Oh, and sorry for the double post, but a generic 56k modem *does* work in both without hitches. Too bad it doesn't have the dongle...
The fact the 56k modem works but not the 14.4k is kinda puzzling me.
