| Hello, all.
I recently bought an NEC MobilePro 900 HPC and am trying to connect it to my Windows XP machine. ActiveSync 4.5 is already installed on there. All I need is the USB driver for the MP900. However, whenever I try to download the USB driver from HPC:Update, nothing happens. I suspect it's because I may not be an official member of the community, but on HPC:Update's FAQ, it states that all downloads there are free. What can I do? |

| So, from what I can see, you still have to donate to download from HPC:Update. I've already registered this account but I went through it again. It sent the e-mail and I clicked on the link in said e-mail, but then it brought me to the new account registration screen. Does this mean my account details are going to be deleted? |

| You miss the first part of the sentence:
"Downloads will only be accessible once you have either met our community contribution and membership longevity requirements or become a contributor to the site as a subscriber."
There's another way to contribute: by participating in the forums through posting of comments. The purpose of this new stipulation is to discourage people from registering solely for the purpose of downloading programs with no intention of participating in the dialogue this site was created for. |

| Well, I did read that part of the sentence, I just didn't mention it in my reply. In retrospect, I'm not sure why I did that.
So, as far as I can see, you still have to meet the contribution requirements or donate in order to access downloads from HPC:Update. |

| I still don't know what the "contribution requirements" are. |

| There's a reason for that, I don't publish them. I want people to want to be part of our community, not SPAM the forum to hit some heuristic.
Hint: SPAMMING the forum won't help you. |

| I am a Bronze member and I want to download the Service Pack 2.0 and The Network Service Pack for my Compaq C140. But when I try and download it comes up with some cryptic Syntax error message webpage for ever file I try and download. Are the download servers down. Or do I have to have more messages to be able to download. I donated to become a bronze member, and I reviewed software and got the software reviewer badge as well. Anything else I need to do?
Thanks, Ken Finch |

| I think it's not only you.
I got the same error as you too.
C:Amie will need to fix the server issue that is happening.
