USB adaptor issues

Ok ive been driving myself nuts having no luck at all.
When I use the adaptor it needs a driver, ive tried 4 different drivers and none of them
will work. I have Windows 7 on the computer and I cant get it to work in 7 or thru the VM of XP.

Help ! ?

Ok I got the driver installed. I have it enabled in the VM with XP running. But Active Sync is not seeing any devices. Man i feel so dumb right now, theres something so basic im messing up here. This is my first time messing with VM.

Active Sync searches for a device but it never finds it. I have USB enables and my HP 360LX on and ready. So im not sure what im doing wrong here.

Ok its installed driver wise 100% in Windows 7. I installed the driver in Windows XP in the Virtual Machine. But even after a reboot, when I go to device manager it shows the USB to Serial adaptors drivers are not installed (In Virtual Machine running Windows XP.

Wait now its not installed (driver wise) in Windows 7. So i dont understand why im having this much trouble installing a driver for this USB to Serial adaptor ?

I have installed all the drivers for this PC and yet the USB Bus controller will not install correctly. I feel like a moron right now, someone explain how the heck I can get this solved ??

For a minute it seemed like everything was good in device manager, then I unplugged the adaptor and plugged it back in and everything is showing (again) whats in the picture above.

Ok now I got it working (Found the driver it was for a M66 340G). Had to use an older version of Active Sync. Finally I can install stuff and do these videos. That was very frustrating trying to find the driver for this adaptor. Wish stuff came with an install disc still. Anywhoo
