| I'm currently pondering about ordering custom cut replacement rubber feet for the Jornada 720, after getting out all the gross black goo from one of my battery packs.
First question: Does anyone here have the means to cut 2mm black rubber sheeting?
If not, I'm considering ordering a whole sheet of cut rubber feet from a prototyping company that offers laser cutting services!
Would other people be interested in getting some to split the costs? (jornada_720_rubber_feet.JPG)Attachments ---------------- jornada_720_rubber_feet.JPG (59KB - 0 downloads) |

| I remember just filling the foot area with black silicone rubber sealant to the point it made a raised puddle/bubble and then let it dry before sitting it upright.

| I found a rubber feet intended for laptops for 100JPY, less than one USD. It had 10 in them. It was in a local dollar shop.
But a custom one will be nice. Not sure if I need it though. |

| Yep, aka 100yen shops.
Daiso is a famous one, with several other names. Edited by stingraze 2021-12-30 7:32 AM

That is so much simpler than what I came up with! I'll see if i find an easy way to cut them, otherwise I'll just use black kitchen-grade sealant! |

| Karpour,
In practice, what are the prototyping costs going to be and how many feet do you anticipate getting from a sheet? |

| If I were going to use rubber sheeting for the feet...I would probably turn some round tubing into an oval and just make a punch I could whack with a hammer .. |

| I can try print them in TPU - can you send me a stl?
I think this would be the cheaper alternative ... A 1kg roll of TPU is around 20-30€

| Here's the SCAD and STL file
I made everything scaled to 0.97 for tolerance, not sure how much would be reasonable for 3D printing! Edited by Karpour 2021-12-30 5:53 PM

| Hello!
I had to draw my own ones - since the one from Karpour did not fit well. At least printed on my 3D printer.
If anybody wants a pair of these: Please send me a message. You can pay me whatever you like + the shipping fee. EU should be around 3€ - outside EU around 5€. They will come with adhesive tape applied.
