Hi All,

I know, I've asked about this before , but I'm kinda desparate now. I need to change my domain provider (1and1.co.uk) to another within 24hrs .

My question is? If you have a domain, who do you have it with? and what are they like?

Thanks so much.

Nick

I had to change the Credit Card Details, the new card has a different name, and 1and1 won't let me change it.

I'll reread that 50-something page thread then.

Hi I've used Simply.com for a number of years now and have always had fantastic service from them, I host about ten domains with them and have a VPS account but even their single domain accounts are great and their customer support is second to none!

Hi,

Thanks Martyn, I've now registered to Simply.com, they seem so much better than 1and1, I'll start transfering my domains now.

Many Thanks,

Nick

1and1 do have shockingly bad system in place.

I find easily too basic, names have the best management systems and good customer service. I just dial up the same person all the time and he deals with what I need. They're not necesarily the cheapest though.

There was hardly anything in that thread.

Simply.com are basicly Names so I agree with you there, though, I haven't used their Telephone Customer Service.

Names Co. brought out Simply a few months back. I got their customer announcements. They're really giving 1&1 a run for their money.
Can't remember it Names are #1 yet. They either #1 or #2.

Certainly much better service wise than 1&1 IMO. 1&1 left a bad taste in my mouth and I just maintain the accounts I have with them because those particular ones need Windows. If Names would give me a Windows server again (I was one of their first customers when they started up and were on NT4 then 2000, alas they forcibly migrated me to Linux ) I'd move back in a heart beat.

nice jornada pics, nick

I've got better ones than that. Thanks for looking at my site.

1and1 Were #1 When I registered with them, I'm extremly happy with Simply's/NamesCO's service. The thing is, with 2 domains with 1and1 its going to cost me at least £30 to transfer them

Anyway, I only own 1 of the domains so my friend must pay
