Yeah, try it. If I install, nothing happens on reboot. In the manufacturer's list, if I manually search for them they do not appear in the list (RD9700).

Maybe I understand the driver problem on the CD.
You should be missing some correct information for installing the drivers.
Looking at the files I shared, on the CD, in the folder:
CD USB LAN Driver \ RTL8152 \ RTL8150 \ Windows98 and WinMe Driver \ 0001-RTLUSBNT.125_98_EM \ RTLUSBNT.125_98_EM

we find two folders, one for Win98 and one for WinME.
I noticed that when I installed the other drivers, during the installation process, it asked me for the files that are on the Windows98 installation CD.
The drivers present in the CD do not require these files, perhaps for this reason, the installation was interrupted giving an error and it appears that the device has not been installed correctly.
I tried, again from the manufacturer's CD, he installed the ones for WindowsME and he installed them without problems, and here he asked for the famous additional files that are in the Win98 CD.
Obviously, on restart, blue screen.
The drivers are obviously incorrect.
Can you see if anything is missing from the Win98 driver instructions?
Obviously if you are capable of it. I know it's not easy.

I finally got a refund. The product does not work or is not compatible.
Do you know any compatible USB LAN adapters I can buy?

I will write to more vendors and ask if they can check the ID Hardware.

I wouldn't count on it having 9x support. The AX88772C is from 2013, the RTL8xxx is from 2003.

I found these drivers and installed them without any problems.
https://us.driverscollection.com/?H=AX88772&By=ASIX&SS=Windows%2098%20SE
Now the installation went smoothly. As you can see from the photo, everything is recognized without errors and conflicts.
I must point out that the first time I plugged in the LAN cable, Windows crashed, forcing me to force the PC to shut down.
Once the PC is restarted, however, it does not connect.
So I went to manually enter the TCP / IP addresses for the card.
From the image, three appear, I have configured that of the device, however windows does not connect.
I have no idea how to set up the connection correctly.
Or, even if there were no problems, the drivers are not the right ones?

The 169.254 address is an APIPA address, which means that it isn't finding a DHCP server. How have you got it all cabled in?

Actually, I didn't do anything, I just installed the drivers ....
If I do ipconfig/all the DHCP server sees it disabled.
I set the IPs manually and also the Gateway
But on DNS configuration, if I enter the google DNS, then it asks me for the HOST name and DOMAIN, I have no idea what to write there.
Even on WINS configuration I don't know what to set.

That doesn't answer my question. How is it cabled in?
Is 192.168.1.1 your router?
Is 192.168.1.50 a free address?
You don't need WINS
DNS should just be 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Hostname can be set to anything < 15 characters with no spaces e.g. IBM-330
You don't need a domain, you can leave the workgroup as 'WORKGROUP'

What do you get from
ping 192.168.1.1

Yes, 192.168.1.1 is the Default Gateway (address of my router)
192.168.1.50 is my manually set IP address.
I have set the Subnet mask 255.255.255.0
DNS set as you advised me.

By running the command:
ping 192.168.1.1

I get:
"request expired." Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost, = 4 (100%, lost)
