| I tried installing Conduits Pocket Artist v1 from the official website for HPC, got the MIPS cabinet file for my Casio, installed correctly with no errors, but I RUN the program I get this error shown attachment.
It looks like it is missing some DLLs maybe? I am not good at figuring out what is required in older Windows CE devices Edited by Quontrol 2022-11-02 6:46 PM

| Can you try copying the .exe from your PsPC to your computer, and running the .exe through
https://www.dependencywalker.com/
Theoretically, it should show any .dlls that the .exe requires

| Yes, DW said that COMMCTRL.DLL, COREDLL.DLL, and PAJPEG.DLL were required.
I know for a fact that COREDLL.DLL is a critical dynamic link library.
PAJPEG.DLL is already in the installation directory and COMMCTRL.DLL is already in the \Windows\ directory so what gives? |

| I’m not sure but go
https://www.conduits.com/products/artist/download.asp
Go to bottom and click the host installer file for 1.14. Perhaps there’s the palm sized pc version in there that may work?
I suspect the hpcfactor version only has the HPC version.
Try extracting the setup file to find the palm sized pc mips version
Edit fixed link
Try https://web.archive.org/web/20160615000000*/https://www.conduits.com...Edited by torch 2022-11-02 7:01 PM

| I copied your link and pasted it into the Wayback Machine, downloaded the first archived URL and extracted the cab with 7-zip and installed it into the device and lo and behold it launched. I don't know what version I downloaded before but now all I have to do is find a way to activate it.
EDIT: I also copied the PAJPEG.DLL to the \Windows\ directory and that fixed the launch error.

| It looks like only v3 is available for sale still so:
I emailed them asking if v1 is still
Available for purchase
And also in the meantime, please search “drawing” in the SCL. I found a bunch (and also there were a bunch before me) of drawing programs in the SCL. Check those too |

| I spoke too soon
The purchase links are all dead it looks like
Even for v3
I’ll do some digging if they don’t reply and see if I can find their personal email somewhere
Does anyone know their name of the developer so I can locate them ?

| Keep us in the loop and let us know what happens. If no response
, maybe I’ll wait about 2-3 months and try again (I don’t want to badger so quickly). |
