| Is there a way to safely remove / unplug USB mass storage devices in Windows CE (6.0)?
On my x86 thin client I don’t want to risk messing up the file system.
So I thought of two things (assuming there isn’t a way to safely remove with a program)
1-Safely off the thin client before removing USB
2-always using exFAT instead of FAT16/32 to better protect the drive ? Since CE 6 supports that (theoretically at least)

Since switching to exFAT for my USB flash drive, and making sure to shut off the thin client before removing the USB + Safely removing from my laptop on Windows 11, I no longer have any issues with the Flash Drive needing to be "Fixed"
I highly recommend using exFAT for use with Windows CE 6 devices (or 5 if you have the QFE)
