As long as you don't start and call it Autobahn it's all good.

@Archi mh isn't that difficult with the cups given. But that's nothing for the English. the only cup he knows is a cup of tea.

ok... the recipe book app can wait a bit. I'll do something else first.

Careful, because you're going to wind up having to deal with the deranged Yankee-doodle horror of their insistence of measuring everything in "cups". It'll make you cry inside. It makes me cry inside.

"1 cup of flour"
"1 cup of almonds"
"1 cup of water"
"1 cup of butter"

... mean, what the hell is "1 cup of butter".

It's about as meaningless as Han boasting that he "made the Kessel run in 12 parsecs".

What's wrong with cups???? Everyone knows what a cup is....silly boy...

And it wouldn't be a 'cup of butter', it would a 'tablespoon of butter'....sigh......

So, here's how it all works:

3 teaspoons = 1 tablespoon
4 tablespoons = ¼ cup
5 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon = ? cup
8 tablespoons = ½ cup
10 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons = ? cup
12 tablespoons = ¾ cup
16 tablespoons = 1 cup

To convert measurements from tablespoons and cups to pints, ounces, etc.:

1 tablespoon = ½ fluid ounce
1 cup = ½ pint = 8 fluid ounces
2 cups = 1 pint = 16 fluid ounces
2 pints (4 cups) = 1 quart = 32 fluid ounces
4 quarts (16 cups) = 1 gallon = 128 fluid ounces

Got it now?

I've found online recipes in recent history asking for "half a cup of butter" (and worse)

and FYI, no one else uses ounces or for that matter floz either

For the past few years, I’ve been using metric for Google Maps and I try to use it whenever I can.

That said, metic for temperature is absolutely terrible. I understand the rationale but there’s a big difference between one degree Celsius versus Fahrenheit.

My state actually has the only metric delineated expressway in the country. (It’s about a 100km stretch near the southern border)

It was the first freeway constructed after the 1970s metric mandate. Of course, we all know how the story ends. It’s pretty cool to have kilometer markers.
As someone for whom Fahrenheit was something that my parents generation "got" but that mine didn't. Thinking in F is an abhorrent mind melt. 0 is ice, 100 is steam. I think it's easy to comprehend that as a percentage for most things in between. Where as 32 for ice and 212 for steam...

We're all rational folks and I'm all for compromise. Lets just agree to use Kelvin instead! Currently in my office it's 292.95K. Ice comes at 273.15K and steam at 373.15K. Simplez'

Half a cup of brine solution calibrated against the average guesstimate of the temperature of the human body on the top of Mt. Etna on Whitsun Morning, no doubt

How is the coding going by the way?

Ah oh yes...coding... I know that there was something.

Well... I'm actually working on an app which is a simple database.
So you can create different categories like Passwords, Cars, Fuel log, Websites, pets...whatever you want to manage. Then you can add and edit records for each category. But only two entries, like:
Category: Passwords
Record 1: Ebay
Record 2: MYPASSWORD

Also you can edit the columnheaders or titles of each category, so that the password one caled: Website and Password. For example.
You can change the language of the app and the background color.

So it will be a perfect solution for everyone to merge records for every situation.

Hahaha...
Well ok, my app isn't only for passwords.
For that I would make an own app.
But I guess there are a lot of these apps on the "market".
Btw: where to save the main password protected of a password managment app if you forgot the main password of the password management app?

And another quick tip from me: name your password: "wrong"
So if you ever forget it, your computer reminds you with: "Your password is wrong"

Yeah I know...dont hesitate to ask me if you ever have security questions

Ah... forget about the break I needed... I built a new app today.
Something very small. A LED Clock with some options of color changing and different fonts.
Display the time and the date. Perfect as a desktop clock to see it from afar.
Waiting for torch to upload

But now I need time for some other projects, like reviews, etc.
