So then theoretically I can do the following with all of the .net programs in the SCL:
Test .net CF 1.0 for my CE3.0 MIPS device
Test .net CF 2.0 for my CE4.2 ARM device
Test .net CF 3.5 for my CE6.0 x86 device (or hard reset and do it on my 4.2 ARM device)

I’ll do three passes as it were
First pass run all .net apps through .net 1.0
Then any that don’t work on that, I’ll run through 2.0
Then any that don’t work on that, I’ll run through 3.5
Then we should be good?

.NET CF 3.5 is supported by CE .net 4.2 or higher. While I've encountered installation problems with .NET 2.0 on CE .net 4.1 devices (you have to soft reset while the dialog "Setting registry entries" is displayed, or it will follow with an error message saying it wasn't installed correctly, and won't work; it will work if you soft reset before it displays the error message), .NET CF 3.5 installs without any problem on any CE .net 4.2-based device, including Windows Mobile 2003 Pocket PCs.

Oh. I meant I was just trying to differentiate which required 2.0 vs 3.5. That way the 4.0 and 4.1 users aren’t left in the cold.
Unfortunately I don’t have a 4.0 or 4.1 device so I’ll try your trick to see if it works on my MobilePro 900 then. Thanks for your help.

If your 900 is a 900C, no trick is necessary, and if it's H/PC 2000, it won't work.

Yes it’s soulless versus HPC2000 but much newer programs work. +the new Npopuk.next!

Freecell and calc don't execute. Thus I believe TFGBD was right that x86em need hex editing to work on x86 proper.
