Hey all,
I was wondering if it could be possible to reduce the clock rate of the Celeron M that powers my CE 5.0 device. It's sadly not a topic I know a lot about, but I'm willing to try things out Does anyone happen to know anything about it?
Unless there were dip switches to do it (virtually no chance on modern-ish hardware). You would need to get into the firmware (BIOS) and change either the CPU multiplier or the voltage. The third way of doing it would be via software as part of the power management scheme for the CPU, but I am no aware of anything existing for CE to allow you to do that.
Were .net Framework programs capable of underclocking or because of the managed code, it’s not low level enough to access the processor?
If so, there may be some old Windows Mobile / PocketPC prog out there that may run?
