I found a rare handhelds collection video on YouTube.
Quite a few devices I’ve never seen before.

Well.... all more or less recent consoles and most are gaming devices.

I hoped for some of these early business-palmtops from 1990 to 1995.

But I assume that from the point of age of the youtube-guy the shown models are all ancient devices from the stone-ages of computing

lol. I didn’t say they were all THAT old. haha they tend to break too, especially the Toshiba Librettos from the 90’s. They actually crumble if you’re not careful.

I dunno, stingraze - my 110CT took a licking and kept on ticking. Looked pretty banged up but just wouldn't die.

Looking for actual H/PCs in that spread is kind of a "Where's Waldo?" exercise. Only found one Jornada. Anyone else see any other CE devices there?

I love the Librettos. I used to have I think which was a 20CT? The form factor is so futuristic, running full Windows 95 and all. But I carried it “safely” with a shock proof case in a train ride, but to my disappointment it broke some parts. I bought some from Yahoo Auctions Japan, but they tend to crumble or be in bad shape. Haha.

I couldn’t locate the Jornada. Good find. He actually has a lot of mobile / mobile laptop related videos, it might be interesting to search for it.

I really like that Onkyo DX dual display netbook. The extra screen could be useful when you're traveling or working at a remote office for the day. Too bad the idea didn't catch on.

Thanks for posting the video @stingraze!

@Mobi

Oh yes, that is such a unique device. I think I may have seen it somewhere in Japan... or maybe it was somewhere on a Japanese site.
Glad you liked it.

@stingraze you might have seen it under the original release name: Kohjinsha DZ.

Funny how Japan gets all the super-cool tiny gadgets. When I was a kid, my grandmother stopped there on her way to China and got me this Donkey Kong handheld, which was so exotic!

@Mobi Yes, I know those Game & Watch. They are sometimes in used electronics stores still here in Japan. Kind of a collector's item now.
