Multiplayer games via infrared/serial port?

Are there any multiplayer HPC games around that support using the infrared port or, if that's impractical, maybe serial cable? Any kind of game would do.

I’m pretty sure this did have IrDA multiplayer but it’s out of print and I’m not sure where else it’s available.
