I recently got a Jornada 720, which included a fun bonus: a colorgraphic CF VGA out card (CRDVGACFH131, according to the label). Sadly, it didn't include the dongle with the actual VGA connector. I think I can make my own cable, but I'm having trouble sourcing the right connector. This thread for a similar looking card suggests some part numbers, but of course they are long out of production and unavailable. I've attached a picture; any ideas on where I can source a connector? Or is getting a new connector unlikely, and I should cannibalize another dongle that matches? I could also pry open the card and solder directly to the connector's pads, but that seems scary.

Didn't have any luck, I just found this backorder website (not even sure if it's a legit site)
https://ie.rs-online.com/web/p/memory-card-connectors/6081594
and a datasheet PDF

here
https://media.digikey.com/pdf/Data%20Sheets/Hirose%20PDFs/NX.pdf

(Sorry if this is already stuff you've found)

Also, welcome to the site!

Chances are it is proprietary, but how many pins is it? Or looks like 15 of the top side, 2 power, one at each end, plus 13 data lines and that the rear is keyed?
Are there pins on the reverse?

Cable information from users' manual (linked below)

"The Voyager VGA CF cable accommodates all three output options: Composite, S-Video and VGA. The Voyager Cable length is 900mm (Approximately 3 feet).

The HD15 VGA connector is used to connect to both VGA monitors and projectors.  After the VGA device is connected to the VGA connector, select the "VGA" output setting and preferred mode in Voyager Shadow or your presentation software.  All Composite and S-Video cables must be disconnected when the VGA connector is in use.
The Composite (RCA) or S-Video (Mini DIN) connectors are used for TV output.  S-Video provides a higher quality video output than Composite.  After the Composite or S-Video cable is connected, select either "Composite" or "S-Video" setting and preferred mode in the Voyager Shadow or your presentation software."

Sorry I misspoke. When I was researching that serial port connector in that other thread, I came across that website.

Hmm, those sites seem pretty sketchy. I'm pretty skeptical anyone is still making those connectors, so it must be the greyest of gray market offerings.

On a more promising note, someone posted a teardown (http://www.penguin.cz/~utx/hardware/Colorgraphic_Voyager_CF_VGA/) suggesting that the card is just based on the reference design for the Epson S1D13806 display controller. If that's true, then the RGB/HSYNC/VSYNC vga connectors are just brought out to different pins. Based on some poking, it seems that this is indeed the case! I found an ebay supplier for some modem dongles, so maybe I can hack one of those into a dongle.

I’m sorry about the website I found. I was on a wild goose chase

They don’t even sell to end users unless you’re some kind of company (I did try to get a price quote)

At least we all know 100% it’s a dead end.

Anyway, keep us updated on what you find out ! I wish you luck
