| In my relentless journey to find a spellchecker for WordPad in CE 4.1, I'm coming up with very little except for this:
http://www.smartlinkcorp.com/translation-software/PhatSpell-pda-pocket-spell-PW69101-info.html?cat=Spell%20Check%20Tools&plat=Pocket%20PC&lang=English
Has anyone dealt with them? The Try link is dead, but the Buy page comes up, and the phone number allowed me to leave a message.
Will post back if something happens, but I was wondering if anybody else had experience with this company.

| The only thing I know about that site, is they seem to be the only reseller of Calligrapher as well.
I hadn't bought it yet.
(Sorry that's not exactly helpful) |

| It is helpful, in the sense I'm not hallucinating. I'm just loath to drop money into a well. I'm hoping they'll call back.

| Slightly off topic, have you not had luck using "Executability Check" to rewrite/change the CE version from 4.2 to 4.1?
I realize it's probably more funky if it's an add-on for Wordpad though...
Edit: also on topic: have you made sure you tried the trial version of the spell checker to make sure it works for you?

| Yes, as I said in OP, the Try button is a dead link. They have not rung my phone, either. Re: cmonex's hacked hpcoffice, she couldn't get the spell or the save-as-doc features to work in the Sig3.
Bummer,

| Well done, @torch I tried the same, but you found the right link. Anyway, it was impossible to extract the cab until I went into \windows\windowobile\phatware (wmdc won't install normally).
Unfortunately, even with a fresh install, phatspell says it's expired.
Drat,

| I tried setting the date to 2005 (cab dates) and 2001 (ini dates) but no go. I'm not certain it makes sense to do a hard reset and install since I would eventually have to use a current date for everything else.

| Calligrapher 6.* I use that for spell checking but it's a bit of a hassle: you draw a check mark in the document, activating the spellchecker, and it has trouble with smart quotes and em dashes etc, rewriting them as a hyphens or changing the word completely. C does work, however, if you simply highlight a suspected word. You have keep remembering to disable C in systray, otherwise you're making inadvertent drawings everywhere.
As an aside, do you know if it's possible to kill a process (that's what C is ) with a keystroke?
FWIW, here are the Phatware cab files.

| Thanks for doing that.
Is it worth adding that to the SCL ?
Also this doesn’t exactly help with your process question but maybe this is as close as I could find

| Thanks for that. WR-Tools Resinfo can do the same, btw. I wish there were some way to automate it. There's no kill function in cmd.

| Slightly off topic
@thenzero found this great English Sig3 guide.
Try searching in pdf for spell and listpro
But that whole thing is still probably worth a read if you haven’t seen it before

On topic if I figure something else out for your spell check I’ll let you know |

| I do believe I already have that pdf, but your link doesn't work. At any rate, many thanks for your help and all your investigations.
