| I found the right keyboard! Mine wasn't compatible because it's only for the V series!!! I didn't notice the writing on the box!

| The keyboard works great! I tried it on the PDA that I had dropped on the floor. Now what comes to mind is the following question. If the keyboard communicates easily with the handheld, and therefore can be used without problems, why is it that the cable to synchronize the device with the PC is inserted into the same slot and it doesn't work? |

| could the sync cable be broken?
also, I've heard some people have had issues with newer USB ports with older devices, but I haven't had those issues myself. |

No, the cable is not USB
YES, it works perfectly with the other Palm m100, which I bought as a replacement. |

It sounds like the backup battery (or more likely capacitor ) has died, it shouldn't be difficult to repair.
As for the stylus issue first check that there isn't a bit of grit between the bevel and the screen (you will need to disassemble the device ) as this is a common issue with resistive screens.
If that doesn't work then try this nifty bit of software https://palmdb.net/app/digifix
Hope you get it working
Huw
After various searches I discovered that this version of digifix 1.2 is not compatible with OS >= 3.5, the exact operating system that the Palm m100 has. But only from PalmOS 4.0+.
I have Palm OS 3.5 or greater. Do I need DigiFixHack?
No. DigiFixHack will have no effect on devices with OS >= 3.5
Will DigiFix work on PalmOS 4.0+?
Yes, although most newer devices do not have alignment problems.
Question is there an older version? Maybe that works! |

| I emailed a few Palm folks ive know for close to 30 years. They are into Palms like we are CE devices ;-) I hope they can get a link for a version that works. Fingers crossed for ya ;-) |

| I did some research:
The archive.org only shows 1.2.1 for digifix - I didn't see any older versions available

I also found this thread where some people were talking about the same thing

| I don't know if this will help, but I have a Psion 5mx and to calibrate the screen I have to run the calibration several times, about 5 times if I remember correctly.
It starts with a beastly tolerance, about 1 cm error, and little by little it adjusts.
What I do is to 'trick' it to get the result closer to the real one by pressing as close as I can to the origin of the adjustment.
If you delete the settings, you have to go through the process again.
Cheers. |

| I read a bit of everything. This is quite a strange and very annoying situation.
I can't solve this problem. I was thinking, I don't understand what screws the Palm m100 has. I could change, recover the parts that are in excellent condition and replace them with the Palm m100 which is more damaged.
Do you know what screwdriver it takes to open it? |

| These are the screws. Can you tell me what type of screws they are and what screwdriver is needed?

| Here we call them Torx screws.
Normally any small multi-headed screwdriver comes with them.
Wiki
You can search for 'precision screwdrivers' on Amazon.
More or less like this one:

| I have a kit similar to that one. It's saved me so many store trips and has allowed me to open almost anything haha |
