| I have two memory cards that are NOT compatible with ANY for my CE devices.
One is a Cisco 24mb Linear Flash
The other is :
Intel Series 2. Flash series 2 4mb card.
I dont think there made for what im using them for.
Id like to know why they arnt and give them away before i throw them out.
Both PCMCIA cards.
Any help on why they wont work in any of the deuices im tried.
But if anyone has a use, let me know before they end up in the trash. Hoping someone can or has a use for these.

| Linear flash does not use the ATA specification. In short, older CE devices have no driver for it.

Do submit them to the HCL though as incompatible if they don't work on your devices -- https://www.hpcfactor.com/hcl/submit/ | |

| Linear flash cards were often used in Cisco routers and Newton PDAs. Chances are your cards could be both writen to and read from a Newton 2000 or 2100. Compatibility with other Newtons (ie 100, 120 and 130) as well as the eMate 300 would depend on the cards' voltage requirements. They're still worth a bit of money and sought after by Newton users.
