I asked a few folks who ALL said it will work with a 680 or 680e. Its the same chip that they sold to "upgrade" the 680s. But id like to hear everyones thoughts on here first, before i click buy.

I couldn't find a definitive answer, but I found this PDF here
https://docs.rs-online.com/9e1a/0900766b8002d441.pdf
where the RAM is mentioned as a common accessory for both the 680/690 series

Does the picture of the RAM that you found match the picture from here

I have a 690 unit here. Im gonna back up my data and try changing out the ROM modules and see what happens. If it works then i know this will work. I didnt even think of trying that. Ill make a video of that process.

Then we will all KNOW for sure for future reference ;-)

Im gonna be uploading a video of my 680e and discuss my plans for the 680e and 690 in just a bit, letting digital camera battery charge up, my stand for my Iphone (to use it as a camera broke). Gotta have 2 hands when your messing with these devices haha, cant have a phone in one hand and be taking these apart etc. So when my camera battery is done, ill do a video and post a link. :-)

Wait. you're using ROM and RAM interchangeably. which did you mean? the ROM contains Windows CE itself, and the ram is the one with part number f1285a - the 16mb expansion ram

Nice video, I'll have to watch when I get home from work, but don't forget to mention HPC:Factor in the video [if you haven't already] and you'll get a special YouTube badge

YouTube Groupies waste no time promoting, showing, naming and generally making a nuisance of themselves mentioning HPC:Factor in YouTube videos and then posting the evidence in the 'YouTube Groupie Badge - Promote HPC:Factor in a YouTube Video to earn a badge!' Forum thread
