Oh since it’s a proxy server don’t do anything that uses a login because it’s no longer protected - meaning secure. They can technically pull up any information so nothing sent is secure any longer.
So for news or anything read only it’s fine but nothing else

Did you enable "less secure apps mode"

https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6010255?hl=en

also it looks like you're using imap

npopuk doesn't work with imap, only pop

here's how to setup pop in gmail

Npopuk is your only shot at this. Nothing else is updated. This program was last updated in 2022. So I’d be happy to experiment with my Gmail account and see if it works for me on Monday

It worked for me on nPOPuk for Desktop Windows (should be identical to Windows CE)
I also have two factor authentication on + created a special app password for nPOPuk
I used these settings
Quote
Incoming Mail (POP) Server

pop.gmail.com

Requires SSL: Yes

Port: 995
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server

smtp.gmail.com

Requires SSL: Yes

Requires TLS: Yes (if available)

Requires Authentication: Yes

Port for TLS/STARTTLS: 587

If you use Gmail with your work or school account, check with your administrator for the correct SMTP configuration.
Server timeouts Greater than 1 minute (5 is recommended)
Full Name or Display Name Your name
Account Name, User Name, or Email address Your email address
Password Your Gmail password

Do you have two factor authentication turned on for gmail? I tried using npopuk at work with our gmail account and I could not get it working since we don't have that turned on
