I wanted to mess around with BBS's thru the terminal on the machine. I was wondering if anyone had a up to date list of current BBS's in Connecticut, Ma or NY. I found a few sites with lists but they have not been updated recently.

I had success dialing in to one of the BBS's using my Magic Jack phone line. So if anyone was wondering if it VOIP works for BBS's, it does for at least the one im still dialed up to right now. I love it, BBS's were big when i was younger. Its nice to have a way of connecting to these still. Im glad i got that 14.4k modem for free a few weeks ago ! :-)

What program would you say works the best for 680e and 690 units ? or if you use one of these, which do you prefer. Id love to have some more folks chime in. :-)

Id say this made my day, BBS's made me feel like a kid again. :-)

OK i was able to connect to a BBS thru VOIP using Magic Jack. I used a 14.4 PCMCIA card in the 680e and the terminal program in Windows CE. I am going to try different software that was mentioned above and see what program i like the best. But this is a lot of fun and the BBS i found has a up to date (somewhat) news section so i can read news. Pretty cool.
