| Hello,
I would like to do a BIOS upgrade on my 200LX.
- Is it possible to upgrade a 200LX BIOS from 1.00A to 1.02A (latest)?
- What is the BIOS EPROM part number and where it is located on the motherboard?
- Can BIOS EPROM be duped or reprogrammed?
- Are any BIOS dumps available to download?
I found many more CF cards are working with my friends unit with BIOS 1.02A. I have 1.00A myself.
Thank you,
Martin

| I'm sorry, I scoured the internet and I wasn't able to find a way to upgrade the BIOS. I don't own one myself, I was just trying to do research to see. I'm wondering if maybe the BIOS can't be upgraded - I've found differing reports on if some can be flashed and some cannot..

| It might be worth contacting usedhandhelds.com about the chip. If you make any progress, please post back. | |

| No, the bios is in ROM - not reprogrammable. I possessed one prototype 200LX motherboard with an EPROM on it, so it _did_ exist, but I gave that away to the HP museum.
You would have to replace the motherboard itself. I stll got spares.
