OK, here goes:
1. Open PHM Regedit in Start/programs/Utilities
2. Click on "Hkey_local_machine"
3. Click on "Comm" folder
4. Scroll down to see 2 Security Keys
5. Highlight "Security" and use edit to delete it
6. Click on "SecurityProviders" key to see and delete subfolder "SCHANNEL"
7. Do a soft reset
(Start/Programs/Addons/Soft reset
) to load changed registry.
8. Open Windows explorer,
(or My Computer
), type and enter: \\Name-of-my-network-share
(may need computer name or IP as prefix

9. Login window pops up, enter ID and password to login at the beginning of each session for router, or NAS storage access
Congratulations, you now can access your network usb-drive on your router, or network-attached-storage
