| @AABADON That usb-serial adapter you post does not appear to be FTDI-compliant. If that's true, I don't believe you'll make the proper connection. This one has done me well:
I checked the Amazon link for yours, and I didn't see anything about FTDI and the cheaper ones usually don't have it.

| The one I cite needs proprietary drivers. I think they're readily available at the tera grand site, but if not, let me know, and I'll upload (they go back as far as XP)

| Found this...
Drivers for USB adaptor
... for this.
It's not for the prize (10x less ) but for the chip compatible with the original and that, as it seems, it's not under production anymore or with enough stock. |

| Your Amazon links don't work with my Chrome/Amazon/USA. But that's okay: as long as your adapter is genuinely FTDI and the drivers will work with your desktop. The Tera Grand certainly still seems for sale in the US, but that may be different abroad.
(As an aside, as someone who has lived a long time outside of the States, and has spend significant time in Spain, I think your English is absolutely fantastic )

My fault!! I did not check the list of countries that appear when You click on the link, and... Thanks for your kind words about my English, I swear that the most of the times I think I am writing as if I was Tarzan: "I problem with cable. Palmtop won't talk with Pc" |

I noticed that these screenshots show "COM1" as available. But before your video showed COM1 as not being available. I wonder what changed.. Maybe it's closer to working? That's different at least |

| It's one of my 123345th "try to make it work" sessions
But the problem is the adaptor, I'm afraid. It has a chip, that's right, but it is not the chip that works for syncing.
I ordered a new cable with the right hardware yesterday; it'll arrive in April, so, until then, I'll have to wait. Edited by ABBADON 2024-03-11 9:40 AM

But the J680 did not sync.
Any clues? |

| Nope. I use a netbook with authentic WINXP SP3
Drivers CDM 2.08.24 WHQL Certified for Windows XP, Vista, Server 2003 and Server 2008
Hardware ID Fvid_0403&26pid_60012Fab6z5010
I really don't know what else I should do.
