I never compiled for x86 on CeGCC, but there's a docker container by brainhackers containing all the tools. In order to change the root password of the docker container, there's a way to boot the OS in the docker container in root mode w/o knowing the root password of the container

) via docker. It allows to do anything you want
(like passwd root password etc.
) .
