playing streaming video from web site

is there a way to play streaming video directly from a web site? i've got a jornada 720 and when i get to a web site that offers streaming video (yahoo video, for example) and try to play it, nothing happens. will appreciate input. thanks.

This requires activex controls to operate, and there are no formal meia player controls on the hpc.
