As it may seem, yes, I know the DME-560CT works, ass I made it work. The only problem is that I force loaded the NE2000 driver. Fine for ethernet as per my MobilePro which has a built in modem (What is the point of having 2 modems in use anyway?).

Now I have a Jornada 724 (A 710 with 728 ROM board - according to the seller), it has no modem on it. So, with this in mind, how do I use the D-Links modem and ethernet capabilities at the same time if possible?
Also on the subject, what "telephony" programs are available for the handheld? (The ones that you can use your handheld as a traditional phone, like TalkWorks if you remember it!).

Cmonex,

I think you have a senao long range card working in a NEC 790 or something like that? Your Senao is not the SL-2511 CD Long Range PC Card by any chance? I have a shot at getting a brand new one but the closest match I found at the Senao-USA.com site is "SL-2511 CD Plus" and Senao does not claim to support it for CE or PDAs.

Under "downloads" I found (and d\l-ed) a 'Prism2 for Win CE 3.1' under "CE driver for SL-2011"

it is a compact flash senao nl-2511 something. so it's not the long range pc card. but the drivers probably are the same according to the linux information page about wlan chipsets.

mine is this: Senao/Engenius 802.11b SL-2511CF CF Prism2/2.5/3
(or nl-2511, i don't know

the SL-2511 is this:
Senao/Engenius 802.11b SL-2511CD PCMCIA Prism2/2.5/3
or
Senao/Engenius 802.11b SL-2511CD Plus PCMCIA Prism2/2.5/3
or
Senao/Engenius 802.11b SL-2511CD Plus PCMCIA Prism2/2.5/3
with external antenna connecters

and my senao works on even CE 2.0.
no i don't have a NEC 790, but it works on these devices: Ericsson MC16 (ce 2.0!!), jornada 720, 728, NEC 900 (hpc2000), NEC 900C (ce.net 4.2). i haven't had a chance to test it on the sigmarion 3 yet as i lent it to a friend. i'll have it back soon

umm another note about the senao drivers. the CE 3.0 version is ppc only, it needs hacking if you want to change the default config (if you don't want that, you don't need hacking either). CE 2.11 version will run fine on hpc2000 (no hacking needed), but the window for the config app doesn't fit to the screen fully. so i use another prism driver, hawking version, but the intersil ref drivers are fine too (hawking is very close to the reference drivers. so is senao).
