I'm hoping against hope that someone will be able to help me. Ideally I wanted to use a Motorola IM1100 wireless air pc card to connect to the internet with my 880, but I can't even get a dialup connection established so that I can download software to use the wireless card, and I don't seem to be savvy enough to transfer the software from the host pc(winxp home ed.dell inspiron1100),sounding like a rookie but really in need of guidance.

The available software for your wireless card is here:
http://idenphones.motorola.com/iden/support/software/im1100software.jsp

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have any compatible driver for your device. The closest things are the Pocket PC drivers, which seem to be compiled for ARM processors only. Your device uses a MIPS processor (if I remember correctly) and therefore is not compatible with such drivers.

That is for wireless LAN cards. The question was for a wireless modem card, so it isn't relevant. But thanks anyway

I only have one Pro WMod driver and that is the AirCard 300.
It's clutching at straws...

You can get it out of the HCL.
