activesync wont work

hi I just downloaded activesync for my hpc running handheld pc 2000 . since my pc dosent have a sierial port I went to radio shack to get a usb to sirial port and it wont work it says it couldnt detect my device oh and the the viersion of activesync
I downloaded was 3.6

first it would be better if you registered properly here.

not all usb-serial converters are of a decent quality..

anyway try activesync 3.8

I have the Radio Shack Serial to USB Cable and it works ok, but it takes a while to get it to sync. I have ActiveSync 3.8. Make sure you installed the floppy and note that even though the serial device is connected via USB, the deice still uses a COM Port .
