Hi, All,

I have a working wireless network between my J-720, Dell Inspiron 4000 (WindowsME), and two Orinoco Gold cards, using Orinoco Client/Manager on both the J and the Dell.

I'm thinking, with some dread, about buying a Dell 600m (which was the only notebook I could find with both a serial and ir port), and am concerned that my network will turn into a hassle.

The 600m comes with built-in wireless. Is such an upgrade going to be a big problem, using my J/Orinoco card and Dell's wireless hardware and XP? Can an Orinoco and generic wireless hardware talk to each other? Or should I be anticipating some problem and be on the look-out for other hardware?

Many thanks,
Jake
