Is it possible to connect the 'Remote Desktop Client' for Windows CE with an other port to the server? I use another port on the server than the standard one...

I tried 'ip-adress : portnumber' but that does not seem to work.

It is possible on some Windows CE devices, whether it is possible on your particular device...
Being a HPC Pro device... As I don't have a RDP server on a non-standard port I cannot test it.

I'll have a think about the best way I can help you try it.

I have a Jornada 680 with a linksys WPC11 v3 card.
RDP works great! Its like having XP on your jornada

I allready searched the registry in the RDP part, but nothing about portnumbers there...

N!co,

Is your server public?

I would need to experiement to see if I can get you a solution that works. Clearly log-in information would Not be needed, just the server addess so I can attempt to connect to it.
If you agree, please PM me the address and port and I shall have a look.

I have had a fiddle and have created a fix for you. I sent it in a cab file to your forum registered mail address.
I'm able to connect to your server using H/PC Pro over the specified port.

The fix will only work for you, it is not an all encompasing fix.

It will create a shortcut on the desktop, please use the shortcut to connect.

Wow, thanx for the work!

I can't test it for now, since the IP-adress I gave you is my internet-IP, here in my local network the RDP-servers has another IP. I guess the IP in this fix is hardcoded?

Yes, I can change it resolve to a domain name if you like, or make you a LAN version if you tell me the IP.

It works! Great! No idea how you did it, but this is very usefull for me.

Browsing is much faster via the RDP-connection than using the browser on the jornada itself. And I can use firefox or Opera now on my jornada!
