Greetings! I am absolutely loving my "new" 6651. The J720 may have been a bit faster, but the screen on the Intermec is awesome.

I've been syncing via IR, and it works well, albeit very slowly (9600 baud). My question to the masses is, if one syncs via the Intermec Serial cable, is it possible to crank it up to 57600 or 115200, or are you stuck with 9600? Logic tells me yes, but then again, logic told me a 4Mb IRDa port would be able to run at faster than 9600 baud, too.

I was thinking of listing my J720 package on HPCBay, if anyone is interested.

Thanks~

Paul

Control panel, communication. Choose the PC connection at set it to 115k. Do you have wireless? Syncing over ethernet is incredibly fast.

And yes, there's no screen to match the 6651, yet. The SL4 comes close tho'.

IrDA should sync using IrCOMM at 115.2. It shouldn't run at 9,600 unless there is a problem. So it's probably worth troubleshooting that.

.

My PC Connection settings don't have a speed option for the IR port; it just allows me to select IR Port, or a serial port at various speeds.

Network syncing is a no-no here at work, unfortunately.

Thanks!

The PC side won't go faster than that, even if I've set the max. baud rate to 115200. Thanks!
