Jornada 720 wit Orig.Software from Year 2000

I hav a question for connect in the internet with Jornada 720 with no networkcard.
Can i connect with USB to a second PC with Windows XP ?
Maybe the Jornada need a IP-Number ? With USB hav this not a IP-Number.

What is the last Softwarupdate for HPC 2000 (Windows CE 3.0 ) ?

no OS update for the jornada 720..

as for the usb connection, you need some program to share the PC's internet connection to the jornada, it doesn't happen automatically. someone else just asked about the same thing, look for the thread (http://www.hpcfactor.com/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=2379&posts=3).

I not unterstand, i cant the "Ping" set for etc. www.yahoo.com or another www-adress. Is that only works when i hav installet a Networks-PCMCIA-Adapter ?

I hav found the Plus!-Programm for my H/PC2000, and in this ist the Ping.exe-Program includet. I hav test with MS-DOS-cmd.exe and hav say ping ww.yahoo.com....the results is "cannot find this server".

AnalogX Poxy isn't a gateway, it's proxy server.
It doesn't relay ICMP/IP only selected TCP/IP ports

I think, i most bye a PCMCIA-Network-Adapter. I can direct over my SMC-Barricade-Router connect to the Internet. Ever with USB over the Windowx XP-Workstation is not good.
