nah, it will never work on hpc2000.
only the 900C has a chance, i've tried skype with the usual hacks, but it would freeze right away, requiring a soft reset. sorry.

Why not e-mail the creators of Skype and ask them to make a port for HPC? I use Skype all the time on my piddle pc(Roric23). BTW Skype me sometime.

A port request? Just a thought...

where? hey i can create a screenshot for you if you can't find it... ok, lets get more serious.
was there a ppc2002 version ever for skype? i'm not sure...
if you have it somewhere (if there was one indeed), try it on your hpc2000 ARM devices. and/or send the cab to me please
i don't think the wm2003 version works (or maybe an older one?), as it won't work even on ce.net 4.2...

I always speak in serious Cmonex.
Logically I was talking of a PPC version on MP900.

1 hour to find the screenshots. Never more.

A Nexio(CE NET 4.1) was the HPC running Skype.

The donwload is only available for registered users.
I´m a registered user.

If someone want to register on HI PDA...
1. Open HI PDA.
2. Open HI PDA translated by Babel Fish(Japan to english) too.
3. With these two windows opened you have to register at the original japan site but you need to read the translated site to understand content.


This method can be used with others sites.

Skype works on .NET CE 4.X with a integrated microphone. I have to take this a true.


Cmonex, the version of HI PDA is Skype 1.0.
But I tried the actual Skype 1.1 on my HP728 with the same result. On HP728 i dont think works OK but on any .NET CE 4.X with integrated microphone have to work.

Try with Skype version 1.1:

coredl3 renamed to coredll
iphlpapi
aygshell

I have to rewrite with Executability Check from 4.0 to 3.0. I dont know if you need this on .NET CE 4.X

thanks for the files! i'm going to try it on the sigmarion, it has a microphone jack if that's what needed... sorry if it's a dumb idea... i'm not too educated in these matters and i won't really use skype just want to test it for others (and might do a little chat on it with some friends...)

oh geez coredl3 trick. on my 900C, i forgot to try and edit the cab file for the strign that corresponds to the missing functions in coredll.dll. or at least hexedit it for coredl3 and include this file...
btw the string hexedit(s) may be applied to HPC2000 and then hpc2000 users could have skype as well.. going to try it.
