| Does anyone know how I could bypass a digital signature check on WinCe 4.2?
I have a handheld called the Gizmondo (www.gizmondo.com, click on 'unit' and it runs on WinCe 4.2.
The problem is, it only runs exe's which are signed.
Only Gizmondo can sign exe's so that they run on the Gizmondo. (For example 'games'
I want to be able to run my own exe's this why I need to bypass the digital signature check.
If you have any other solutions to my problem I will also be grateful (For example, create/modify OS, create bootstrapper etc )
Thanks in Advanced. |

| i think TFGBD will be able to help you. |
|
|
|
| Who is TFGBD? I have tried emailing him (giant_bootleg_defensor (at) juno (dot) com), but it just keeps saying 'Message failed to sent', does anyone have his MSN (or other IM program address)?
How else could I notify/contact him?

| according to TFGBD, almost only those programs will be compatible that have a ARMV4I build... this is surprising though.. anyway look for firefly on gizmondo forums or whatever, he was the one who hacked the digital signature check. he should be able to help |

| Im from GizmondoForums.com, FireFLy won't be releasing his SDK for some time, this is why I want to do it myself? Can TFGBD help or not? |

| oh if he won't help you (is the SDK needed for this simple task... ?? ), i don't know then. i'm surprised though |
|
|
|
| No you don't need FireFly's SDK.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
All I want is someone you can code in ARM9 Code. This is what they need to do:
-Gizmondo have released a service pack with two files. Autorun.exe and install.bin.
-All you have to do is edit one bit in the install.bin to get it to what you what
-Here is what squidge said:
http://www.gp32x.com/board/index.php?showtopic=20539&st=0
(Gets more interesting towards the end )
- Then all I need is the patched install.bin file. |

| I am sorry if cmonex gave you the wrong idea but I really can not help you with the Gizmondo too much. I don't even own one. I was merely discussing some of Firefly's fourm posts on IRC and I guess she assumed I knew more about the device than I do. ;P
I'm sorry you were unable to contact me via email. I do not check the giant_bootleg_defensor (AT ) juno.com email address very often and did not yet change the email in my profile. I also don't check this forum too often so I only just noticed your PM. Sorry! |

|
|
| It's Ok,
You don't even need a gizmondo, you just need to patch the install.bin file.
So all you need is understanding of ARM9 Code.
Are you able to help? |

oops. sorry. i just thought you'd be able to give some ideas as to where to look for real gizmondo experts. |

| As I have said before the only expertise required is ARM9 Code.
This is a very minor job, all you have to do is patch the install.bin file.
Can you help? |
