wallythacker wrote in July (http://www.hpcfactor.com/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=1362&start=31&posts=54):

"I have executability check for MIPS and no clue on how to use it properly.

When run it either returns: A.Nothing, B. An error message telling me the .exe or .dll is an invalid file

It seems simple enough, so what am I missing? Should my machine be in native hpc2k mode? (no ppc dlls or systempath?)"

I find I have the same problem. The version of Executability Check that I am using is from http://www.geocities.co.jp/SiliconValley-Cupertino/2039/ since that is the only one I could find. I moved the exe (MIPS version) and the dll to my Windows directory. When I ran the program against solitaire and other programs that run fine, I got a message that they were invalid.

I think Executability Check could be a very useful tool, but obviously I am missing something.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Solitaire is a ROM file, you cannot rewrite its headers. Try something in RAM.

Thanks for the comment about Solitaire's being in ROM. I get reasonable results when I run Executability check against FreeCell and other programs in RAM.
