FYI, Opera Mobile 8.6 works with RedGear on J720/J728. RedGear is near final release. Right now, you can't download via Opera. Hoping that will be fixed in the near future.

Just to clarify, Opera Mobile is what works with RedGear. (Opera Mini is a J2ME application for mobile phones that renders the web pages on Opera's servers.)

Information about the RedGear 1.0.0 release may be found at the RedGear Release Timetable. Note that Opera 8.65 is now considered 100% compatible with this release (issues with trial period, registration, and downloads have all been resolved).

Yes, but this thread is about Opera Mini, so it might confuse some people.

I've just tried to install Mobile Opera 8.65, using RedGear. It installed okay but how do you get around the 'this version has expired, please contact Opera' problem after trying to run it? Also, does Opera do anything that NetFront 3.3 can't?

You have installed beta. Do find non-beta.

Opera renders modern sites much better than NetFront, and it's still available for both download and purchase.

1. weme-midp20-wm2003-arm_22.cab 179KB
http://www.4shared.com/file/gIxVgQyH/weme-midp20-wm2003-arm_22.html

I confirm also the above file to be working like j9-midp20-wm2003-arm_22.zip. I do not know what are the differences but the cab is bigger size.
http://web.archive.org/web/20081217065451/http://www.getjar.com/products/3334/OperaMiniWebbrowser
The above link has opera mini 4.2 which is also working.

2. I could not make the opera mini 5.1 (mini5wm.cab) work on jornada 720 although it gets installed. If anyone has a working solution please give your step by step guide solution regarding the hexedits needed.

Thank you and regards.
