I remember reading a post here that talked about an hpc that would accept AA batteries. I have tried searching on a number of key words but did not find it. Can someone help, or at least share some models that will work on AA batteries? I am especially interested in models with win ce 2.1 or later.

Thanks

an hpc that would accept AA batteries

There are a number of HPCs that accept AA batteries. Most of the old monochrome ones do - MobilePro 700, HP 360LX, Sharp 4100, Velo 500, Casio A-20 and Compaq C-Series 810 come to mind.

There are a couple of colour units that can also accept AAs - MobilePro 770, 780 as well as the IBM z50 (these units use a separate AA battery adapter that replaces the original battery).

There may be more, but those are the ones that I can think of at the moment.

Hope this helps.

Rick

Ya - Nice cat, but it looks like the poor thing is suffering from a 'catnip' hangover!

As for all of the jpg's - I think the first and the last (excluding kitty) would have sufficed.

The IBM Workpad z50 accepts AA batteries. On a lighter note, the cat appears to be a Maine Coon, right?

I'd forgotten about that until this post. I went and switched the battery pack in my H-120F with a couple of AAs, and they seem to hold a charge noticeably longer than the pack.

eh, interestingly the compaq 2000c can't use AA's. why?! (i didnt confirm it myself but someone told me so) it has a ni-mh battery pack by default. not li-ion even though it has a colour screen
