I have recently become intrigued by the JVC MP-C33 handheld (http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/urltrurl?lp=de_en&trurl=
http%3a%2f%2fwww.rothberger.net%2fpages%2freviews%2fas_jvc_mpc33.shtml).

As far as I can tell the unit was only sold in Germany (and presumably Japan); in any event, the only source I have found is the German eBay site. These units of course have the German version of HPC2000 and a German keyboard.

I don't think the German keyboard should be a major problem for me since the only major difference seems to be the swapping of the 'y' and 'z' keys. I read enough German -- and am familiar enough with the US Windows CE menus, etc. -- that I think I would not have too much trouble with the German OS. Still, it would probably be better to convert to English if this can be done without too much trouble.

Does anybody here have any familiarity with the JVC unit? Any comments, positive or negative? Any experience converting an OS from one language to another?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Bruce

May be slightly off topic, but my Laptop, whereever it was from, has swapped "shift+2" or "@" with " shift+' " or " " " and it really bug me, cause I cant fix it and I'm too lazy to make up decals!
