On Henri's site, I saw that Qmail had been updated again, and I decided to finally take it out for a run.
For test purposes, I've configured both a POP3 accout
(hotPOP
) and an IMAP account
(AOL
), and I'm having some trouble on the sending end.
Receiving from both accounts is fine and fast, but when sending, hotPOP lets me connect and then won't send the mail
("error {0x000B0100} Error occured while greeting. Received an error response. 220 smtp-1.hotpop.com ESMTP Postfix"
. I'm using outgoing mail port 25, and all other specs exactly from my working hotPOP account on npop.
AOL, on the other hand, won't even try to send; it won't even let me save email to Drafts
(the error is always "Error occured while sending"
: --which tells me it's internal.
I've scoured both this forum and internet but found nothing in terms of a help file.
Any advice would be much appreciated,
