I am looking for a modem, that has drivers avaliable for CE 1.0 and 2.0, and is of the PCMCIA format.

I know, but I just wanted recomendations on a good one. Also, are drivers for modems included in CE 1.0 and/or 2.0?

If you don't mind about battery life, i'll do my recurrent suggestion:
3com 3CXM556 with X-Jack

it's 5v, but it uses standard serial protocol, so any ce device could use it.

The modem that matrixcore told me about, in the HCL, it says that the modem only works with H/PC Pro and HPC 2000. I do not have either, that is my problem...

does the HCL specifically state that it is *not* compatible with CE 1/2 or just gives no definitive information?

No definitive information, I thought when there were no checks or Xs, it meant there was no compatibility... I am wrong ... I will look for the card on eBay or somewhere...

You can use any modem card you want;normally they dont need any drivers.
