Which do you prefer? This is not limited to H/pcs, but to TVs and Monitors. I personally prefer fullscreen, as most pictures are formatted for that, movies are bigger in fullscreen, and in most cases a full screen provides for larger workspace.

I like widescreen better, because movies in widescreen makes a more realistic experience, in my personal opinion of course... I even like widescreen formatted video games...

but wide-screen movies have more screen area to look at, so you might miss something happening to the left while looking at the right side of the wiiiiide screen.

No, not if you are far enough from the wiiiiide screen and/or a smaller wiiiiide screen...

Yeah, you could say the same for any large tv. Considering the fact that you would not be 2 feet from it, but about 10, that is not plausible.

With TV I definitely prefer widescreen. But with a 640x240 H/PC, can't you have both at the same time?

widescreen. I think the reason that the format was chosen was because it matches the aspect ratio of your field of vision...
