Upgrade HP 620Lx Palmtop PC

Hi to all, i am curious to know if my HP 620LX w/ CE v 2.0 can be upgraded to the windows CE 3.0 o later?

Also, once upgraded, will it support a WIFI card in its pcmcia slot?

Hi, no, it can't be upgraded to CE3 (HPC/2000), it however can be upgraded to CE2.11 (HPC/Pro), which is compatible with a wider array of WiFi Cards than CE2. Look for the upgrade chip in ebay

actually CE 2.0 supports more wifi cards you'd think all cards that have a "standard" (!) prism chipset should work... just a random example, a senao sl-2511 CF wifi ... (with a cf-pcmcia adapter in the pcmcia slot, or directly in the cf slot)

yes i know that CE2 supports a lot of cards, but as far as i know ce2.11 supports even more, which was the point of my post

You're right on that one, those pesky upgrades are one of the most difficult this to find in these days.

BTW - I've got the new Sig3!! that dude is legit!! it arrived today!.
