| Hi, All,
My own searching tells me the answer is negative, but I wanted to make sure--in PocketWord 2.0, is there any way to use smart quotes and em dashes?
My brand-new-used Velo 1--if it ever does arrive--is like me, memory deficient, so my word processing needs will have to forgo the beloved TextMaker running on my J-720. So on the Velo 1, I must return to PocketWord and all its simplemindedness.
I really do need smart quotes/em dashes, but can not find any add-on program for PocketWord other than various word count programs.

| Why don't you just use the word count if it does allow you to use special characters? |

| Hi,
Word count programs don't have anything to do with PW's absence of smart quotes/em dashes. I was only saying that word count programs were the only PW add-ons that I've ever found |

| Oh, I'm sure TM has a version for 2.0, but since I don't have room for a bagel on that Velo let alone 6 mbs of word processing, I'm stuck with PocketWord.

Oh, ok.. I thought you were saying that Word Count Plug-Ins also had smart quotes/em dashes built-in...
I would say "my bad", however, I do not talk like that... |

| Well, for me, I only use Pocket Word just for typing basic things... Besides, I am happy with Word 2003 on the desktop. (I am not bragging that I have Office 2003, I fully respect users of 97/2000/XP-2002) |

Hope this somehow helps ... |

Many thanks for the tip, and I'll look around the web and see if there's a CE 2.0/MIPS version.
