LOL.... Cmonex, what is your native language? Also how many languages do you know? The answer may give others less incentive to laugh. |

| Great idea for the website, there seem to be more and more of these units around.
On the subject of SD card compatability. I've had a Viking Interworks 128Mb rendoured useless by formatting it in the Bsquare. The card is no longer recognised on anything I've tried it in afterwards....(any ideas how to fix it anyone??). The good news is that I've been using a Kingston 256Mb without any problems. I didn't dare risk formatting it in the Bsquare but used a card reader and formatted the card using the FAT 32 file system.
Software wise, I have the following working in one form or another:
Vectorsoft Draw (using dummy aygshell and DLLs from CEMENU).
One Cat Doodler vector drawing application.
Visual CE database (90% working without having to add any other DLLs). A problem with making custom menus work with the bsquare and other Windows CE.Net devices.
iGolf golf game (albeit at half the screen size. Uses the same DLLs from CEMENU)
Pocket DOS 1.10 (Windows HPC2000 version) Problem with the keyboard being recognised properly...they're looking into this at Pocket DOS). Great to be using dBASE IV again though!
That's about it at the moment other than the regulars, Pocket Artist, Calligrapher 6.6, etc.
I'll keep my eyes peeled for anything else that works well with it. And good luck with that website. |

| I'm using a 512MB Toshiba SD in mine. No trouble at all. I've also used a 128MB PQI MMC with no trouble.
I've not had much time to dig into the device and do any more hacking. I had a go at dumping the ROM with pdocread (google if you need to) but didn't have much luck. I might have another bash at it soon.

| wow, thanks for the information, Marly and skyfox.
Marly, about the viking card.. no idea really but if the card is still under warranty, you're lucky.
we'll surely add this information too about the risk of formatting cards in the bsq...
skyfox, what about xda deveveloper's rom dump stuff? edit: ah i see yours is something to do with that ..
i'll look at your rom tool now. might be useful |
